E-Surface photographic paper converting to Kodak

Kodak Paper Conversion

Update (February 19, 2015): Conversion to Kodak’s Metallic paper from Fuji Pearl is currently underway.

Over the next week our E-Surface paper will transition from Fuji to Kodak photographic paper. The Kodak conversion is complete at our flagship brand, Miller’s Professional Imaging, and our family of labs has a remarkable record of producing premium quality prints with Kodak that spans over 40 years.

Now the same transition is underway at MpixPro. Below are FAQs that may come up during the transition.

FAQs

Q: How will this affect my images?

A: Our production team has worked diligently on this conversion. The good news is that this change will have little to no effect on your prints.

Q: Will you convert the Fuji Pearl paper to Kodak Metallic paper?

A: Yes, that change will happen sometime in the coming weeks. We will post an official date to the blog as soon as we have it finalized.

Q: Do I need to make any changes to calibrate my monitor for the new paper?

A: No, the monitor profiles you currently use will work with the new paper.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact customer service at support@mpixpro.com.

  1. FANTASTIC! I held on to my price sheets with the metallic option for prints. So glad I can dust them off soon. There is no equal to Kodak metallic!

Thanks so much. I love the Kodak papers more than fuji! So grateful!

  3. Just wanted to tell you guys thanks for letting us know about the change. But, the one thing I’m excited about the most is that you’re bringing back the metallic print! I don’t sell a big volume of work, but that was the finish most of my customers wanted. Also, thank you for treating your customers (especially the ones that don’t sell a lot) with such care all these years! I have always been impressed with how quickly my emails & questions are answered & how eager you’ve always been to help out in any way you can. I appreciate that so much! MPix has been, & will be, my online printer for many yrs. to come! 😀 THANK YOU!

Why would you do this? Fiji colors are very different then Kodak. I always used Fuji film and want to use a Lab the uses Fuji for digital..

  5. Thank you!! This is such great news. I am a nature/landscape photographer and printed a whole gallery show with your Kodak e-surface paper…with gorgeous results. I quit using your lab when you switched to Fuji paper because the same photographs were oversaturated using the Fuji e-surface and difficult to adjust, as were new images. I’m excited!

I was considering switching labs because Fuji paper is thin and curls. Very unprofessional looking. Kodak paper is heavier and looks more pro. I never wanted to give Fuji to clients. Always thought it looked cheap.
